Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program at CDI
Objective - The Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Diabetes Research aims to support excellent research by scholars with a PhD degree and an outstanding academic record
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a consistently good academic record and demonstrated research potential.
- Candidates with a Ph. D Degree or who have submitted their thesis for doctoral degree or equivalent may also apply. The thesis must be in the appropriate discipline.
- The age limit for applicants for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship will be a maximum of 45 years.
- The eligibility requirements may be waived on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the review committee depending on the applicant's achievements.
Process Flow:
- Announcement for Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme will be made available on the Chellaram Diabetes Research Centre website.
- Research Proposals will be invited from young researchers willing to work in the area of diabetes and related disorders as announced in the announcement.
- A concept note in the format will be submitted by the applicants online.
- All submitted concept proposals will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored by the Grant Review Committee members, followed by shortlisting of the concept proposals.
- Shortlisted candidates will be asked to approach mentors from CDI to design a full project.
- The Mentor from CDI will take all possible efforts to design, modify, collaborate and arrange the facility required for the execution of the full proposal.
- The full proposal will be submitted by the Fellow through the Mentor to the CDRC review committee and simultaneously to the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) for review and approval.
- Once the full proposal is approved by CDRC and IEC, the fellow will receive the award letter from CDRC with applicable terms & conditions. The Mentor will also be notified regarding the sanction of the fellowship.
